“Strata” is a hand-woven artwork created with layers upon layers of wool and yarn, carefully woven onto canvas to create beautiful, organic lines and movement. I stopped counting the hours after hour 284!! So much love and time and patience has gone into this piece.
All the wools and yarns are either imported or the best I could find locally.
Inspired by the natural layers of the earth, rock formations and landscapes, the neutral tones and subtle pops of colour give it a wonderfully earthy, tactile feel.
A beautiful statement piece that is both contemporary and timeless.
